History of The DT Firm

The DT Firm is Founded

After departing the Pennsylvania Senate, Dave Thomas establishes The DT Firm with one employee, Matt Plummer. Together, they build a bipartisan, results-driven consulting firm focused on working across the aisle for Pennsylvania clients.

May 1, 2016
First Major Legislative Win

The DT Firm secures its first major victory with the passage of Act 42, legalizing video gaming terminals and expanding online gaming access with consumer protections.

November 11, 2017
Service Expansion & Capital Project Success

Now five employees strong, the firm expands its services to include public finance and economic development. Over the next two years, The DT Firm delivers and advises on over $50 million in funded capital projects through RACP, DCED, PDE, and DHS.

Pandemic Policy Legacy

With the Governor’s emergency declaration winding down, The DT Firm helps secure key long-term health policy reforms, turning temporary pandemic waivers into lasting improvements across the Commonwealth.

With 14 employees and clients in over 40 counties, The DT Firm opens a new Harrisburg office at 600 North Third Street—marking a new chapter for the growing, bipartisan firm.
