# History of The DT Firm

- ### The DT Firm is Founded
  
  
  
  After departing the Pennsylvania Senate, Dave Thomas establishes The DT Firm with one employee, Matt Plummer. Together, they build a bipartisan, results-driven consulting firm focused on working across the aisle for Pennsylvania clients.
  
  
  
  
  
  #### May 1, 2016
- ### First Major Legislative Win
  
  
  
  The DT Firm secures its first major victory with the passage of **Act 42**, legalizing video gaming terminals and expanding online gaming access with consumer protections.
  
  
  
  
  
  #### November 11, 2017
- ### Service Expansion & Capital Project Success
  
  
  
  Now five employees strong, the firm expands its services to include **public finance and economic development**. Over the next two years, The DT Firm delivers and advises on over **$50 million in funded capital projects** through RACP, DCED, PDE, and DHS.

- ### Pandemic Policy Legacy
  
  
  
  With the Governor’s emergency declaration winding down, The DT Firm helps secure key **long-term health policy reforms**, turning temporary pandemic waivers into lasting improvements across the Commonwealth.

- ### New Leadership Structure
  
  
  
  Dave Thomas names Matt Plummer **Managing Partner**, formalizing a new leadership era at The DT Firm.
